Press Release: Public Service Alliance Names Four New Leaders to Its Advisory Board
Washington, D.C. — The Public Service Alliance (PSA) today announced the appointment of four distinguished leaders to its Advisory Board:
- Rodney Davis, Head of Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and former five-term Representative of the United States Congress;
- James M. Murray, Vice President of Global Security & Resilience at CoreWeave and 26th Director of the United States Secret Service;
- Lawrence Norden, Vice President of Elections & Government Programs at the Brennan Center; and
- Cecilia Young, Responsible Innovation Lead & Director of Portfolio Management at General Catalyst.
These individuals join PSA’s advisory board alongside nearly a dozen other leaders with demonstrated track records of bipartisan cross-sector leadership, as well as a shared commitment to strengthening public service. Together, their guidance supports PSA in empowering America’s nearly 40 million current and former public servants, across political lines, to better and more affordably protect themselves and their families.
"Each of these leaders has dedicated their career to strengthening America. At a time of skyrocketing threats, their unique expertise will help PSA better protect current and former public servants at scale," said Isabella Ulloa, Founder & CEO of PSA. "Ensuring that the safety of those who serve transcends partisanship requires coordination between government, private industry, and civil society, and these leaders bring demonstrated track records of delivering results across each sector."
Additional Information on PSA’s Newest Advisory Board Members:
Rodney Davis was considered one of the most effective legislators in Congress, consistently working across the aisle to champion bipartisan problem-solving throughout five terms in the United States House of Representatives and as Chair of the House Administration Committee. He survived the 2017 Congressional Baseball shooting, during which four people were shot, including Majority Leader Steve Scalise.
“Having experienced political violence up close, I refuse to accept it as the new normal. PSA is the first organization of its kind, and it would have been an invaluable resource in the aftermath of the 2017 Congressional Baseball shooting,” said Davis. “I’m proud to partner with PSA to lower the temperature and protect the people who’ve chosen to serve their communities, across political lines.”
James M. Murray is a former federal law enforcement official who served as the 26th Director of the United States Secret Service under bipartisan administrations, following a nearly three-decade career across the agency’s protective, investigative, and leadership ranks.
“Protecting our country from complex threats requires a skilled workforce that can do its job without fear of violence,” said Murray. “I’m honored to support PSA in equipping public servants with the tools they need to stay safe, so those in government can focus on delivering for the American people.”
Lawrence Norden leads national efforts to protect U.S. election security and integrity, while advancing nonpartisan reforms to encourage civic engagement.
"Election officials and public administrators are doing extraordinary work despite enormous risks to themselves and their families," said Norden. "PSA's work is essential to sustaining the systems on which our democracy relies, and I’m proud to help advance its critical mission.”
Cecilia Young is a leader at the intersection of technology, venture capital, and social innovation, partnering with entrepreneurs to scale solutions that strengthen global resilience.
"As technology continues shaping every aspect of our lives, we must ensure it strengthens our democracy, including by using it to better protect the people who are the backbone of America," said Young. "I’m thrilled to partner with PSA to build innovative solutions that advance nationwide resilience."
